Positioning

Why this matters now.

The reason most Indian brand creative looks the same is that most agencies work backwards from a reference. They start on Pinterest, ladder up to a mood board, ladder up to a moodboard-with-your-logo. The end result is competent, on-trend, and unremarkable — a brand that is legally distinct and visually invisible.

We work forwards from a positioning brief. The visual system is a consequence of the strategy, not an accessory to it. When positioning says 'radical honesty', the design system cannot be soft-serve luxury; it has to have edges, restraint, and a willingness to say 'this is a card, we are not decorating it'.

For D2C brands, we treat packaging as the highest-stakes creative surface in the business. It is the ad that ships with every order, sits on every shelf, and photographs itself into every UGC post. We design packaging with the printer's press check in the room, not on a laptop in Bandra.

For campaigns, we build a small number of high-craft executions rather than a large number of low-craft variations. We would rather ship 4 statics that the founder is willing to put on their LinkedIn than 40 statics that get scrolled past in a feed.

What you actually get

Deliverables, spelled out.

06 · outputs
01

Campaign creative

Statics, video, motion — planned as a campaign narrative, not a spec sheet. Each execution laddered to a specific insight. Reviewed live before it ships.

02

Editorial & publication design

Reports, whitepapers, magazines, longform articles. Typography, grid, information hierarchy done properly. PDFs that don't look like PowerPoint.

03

Packaging & product

Structural + graphic design. Printer-checked. Photo-tested. Shelf-tested for D2C brands going into offline retail.

04

Motion & animation

Brand signature motion, product animation, campaign motion. AE / Rive / Lottie. Optimised for web and social.

05

Art direction & photography

Full art direction — mood, casting, styling, location, photographer briefing. We attend shoots; we don't 'oversee' them via WhatsApp.

06

Design system in production

Figma variables, Tailwind tokens, Storybook. A design system that survives contact with your engineering team.

Engagement process

6-step engagement, no filler.

  1. 01Positioning readEvery creative engagement begins with a strategy read. If there isn't a positioning document, we write one before we open Figma.
  2. 02Reference archaeologyWe audit references — not to copy them, but to make sure the visual we design is not accidentally already someone else's.
  3. 03Direction sprintThree distinct directions. Not three colour variations of the same direction — three real directions. Reviewed live. Founder picks one.
  4. 04Craft roundsTwo to four rounds of craft. Every round shortens; every round is more decision-final. No 'let me sleep on it' loops.
  5. 05Applied surfacesThe chosen direction is applied to the five hardest surfaces (homepage, pitch deck, packaging, LinkedIn ad, print collateral) before we call it done.
  6. 06Production & handoffPrint check, motion export, design tokens, Figma library. Two weeks embedded with your team before we walk away.

FAQ

Questions smart clients ask.

Yes — many clients bring us existing identity work and just need campaign or packaging creative. We're happy to work inside a system we didn't build, provided the system is coherent. If it isn't, we'll say so.

Regularly. We embed with in-house teams for specific campaigns, complex packaging, or design-system work they don't have bandwidth for. We hand back cleanly; we don't try to displace.

Campaigns: ₹6–20L per campaign depending on scope. Identity systems: ₹15–45L. Retainers (ongoing creative): ₹4–12L/month. We publish real ranges.

Yes — brand signature motion, product animation, campaign film, and social short-form. We work with in-house animators and external directors depending on the brief.

We art-direct in-house and contract with a small roster of photographers we've worked with for years. We attend every shoot; we don't outsource creative direction to whoever's on site.
