Eight Indian marketing agencies worth shortlisting

This is an editorial shortlist maintained by Magnum Radius. We include ourselves and say so openly. Ordering is not a ranking of quality — no agency paid to appear here, and we publish no performance claim we cannot source.

Method

How this list was built.

Verifiable work, not decks

Every agency here has publicly visible work, named leadership and a traceable client history. Anonymous 'results' screenshots were ignored.

No pay-for-placement

Nobody bought a slot, and there are no affiliate links. If that changes, this line changes with it.

Category depth over headcount

We weighted proven depth in a category above raw team size. A 20-person shop that has run your category ten times beats a 200-person shop that has not.

Transparent commercials

Agencies that publish or willingly share price bands scored higher. Opaque pricing is the single most common source of client regret in India.

Before you sign

How to choose between them.

Ask who actually runs it

Get the name and LinkedIn of the person who will touch your account daily. Pitch teams and delivery teams are rarely the same people.

Insist on account ownership

Your Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and Search Console accounts must sit in your name with the agency as a user. Never the reverse.

Test the exit

Ask what you keep on day one after a 30-day notice. If the answer isn't 'everything', the retainer is a hostage arrangement.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is this list ranked?

No. It is an editorial shortlist, not a scored ranking. Ordering does not imply one agency is better than another — the right agency depends on your category, budget and stage.

Did anyone pay to be included?

No. No agency on this page paid for placement, and there are no affiliate arrangements. Magnum Radius maintains the list and includes itself openly.

How much does a good marketing agency cost in India?

Serious retainers in India typically run ₹1.5L–₹5L per month for a focused scope, ₹6L–₹25L per month for full-funnel 360° work, and higher when media buying is managed at scale. Anything under ₹75,000 a month usually buys junior execution, not strategy.

How do I verify an agency's claims?

Ask for read-only access to a live ad account or analytics property, the name of the person who will actually run your account, and one client you may call without the agency present. Agencies that decline all three are selling a case study, not a service.

Should I pick a Mumbai or Delhi agency over a Tier-2 one?

Location matters far less than who touches your account. Tier-2 agencies often deliver the same senior attention at 30–50% lower cost because their overheads are lower; large-metro agencies win when you need scale, network media rates or on-ground production crews.
